About Jackie Cargnoni

I was introduced to the concept of hard work when I was just seven years old. My uncle, who owns a flea market, would have me work the concession stand alongside my grandmother & do clean up every weekend starting at 6AM – and I loved it. I stood on a milk crate proudly representing my family business and was paid just $5 a day, getting tipped occasionally, for going the extra mile which I always strive to do. By age 12, I made it to $25 a day. Years passed and I began managing a pizza shop at 16 while working another job at Subway. My uncle always told me that “hard work is a talent” – and I took that with me everywhere that I went. 
Helping people has always been in my blood. About 2 years ago, I was on a flight with a woman and we began to chat. She informed me that her granddaughter had down syndrome. I was touched by her story and I offered a helping hand in holding a fundraiser to support the Down Syndrome Association of Pittsburgh at the local restaurant that I worked at. The woman was ecstatic about it and in just four short months, we put together our first event. The feeling that I had after we did this was unlike anything I’ve ever experienced before – with just one event we were able to bring the community together and raise awareness for something that affects so many. After 3 years and with a ton of success, we are looking to turn “Get up for downs” into an official non-profit organization. 
The real estate industry has always held my interest and as life moved on, I’ve finally decided to dive into the industry to do what I love most – helping people. Being an agent is much more than just “being an agent”. It’s being a counselor, an advisor and a hand to hold – this is why I find passion in what I do.
